All money from the sale of the license is donated to Room to Read (http://roomtoread.org). The one-time cost includes 12-months of Atlassian's "legendary" service and free updates. After 12-months, users can continue to use the license or opt to purchase another year of maintenance and updates for just , which also goes to Room to Read. Money raised from the sale of Starter licenses has impacted over 38,600 children across Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Sri Lanka. Some of the projects that have been funded include the construction of 77 libraries and 4 schools, the production and printing of 2 local language books, and 330 scholarships for girls.


New versions of Atlassian FishEye and Crucible


The release of the new Starter license coincides with the general availability of Crucible 2.4 and FishEye 2.4, the latest versions of the peer code review tool and source code browser. The new versions of these popular developer tools include hundreds of improvements, new features and bug fixes.
