first direct meet Affordable Art Fair founder Will Ramsay and artist Natasha Kumar
(PRWeb UK) October 18, 2010
This week, first direct has released Chapter 3 of their â??Colourful Livesâ?? report, which looks at the rise in consumer spending on the arts sector. Consumers are spending more on arts/culture activities than ever before and now over 64% of Brits have a creative hobby.
It is interesting to see that arts/culture is no longer an elitist activity and limited to just galleries â?? many people are taking it upon themselves to do activities in their own time, primarily because it makes them happy (74%) and helps to make up for a dull day job (22%)
To support these findings, first direct has created a short video with Affordable Art Fair founder, Will Ramsay and showcasing artist Natasha Kumar. The video features an insight into how and why Will founded the AAF and how it has developed in the last decade. He also provides tips on buying art for the first time and on how to get in to the industry. Natasha describes the moment she knew she needed to be involved with such a great organisation and why art is so important to the identity of the UK.
