Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) October 20, 2010
Full Sail University (fullsail.edu) is proud to announce an educational partnership with Midway Elementary School of the Arts, located in Seminole County, Florida. The partnership, which will run through the 2010-2011 academic year, will be centered on Full Sailâ??s professional development curriculum, and will introduce the Midway staff and faculty to progressive concepts in 21st century learning.
On October 18, Midway staff accompanied educators from Full Sailâ??s Education Media Design & Technology Master of Science Online Degree Program to provide the teachers with professional development training as a part of Seminole County Public Schoolsâ?? Professional Development Workday.
There are three additional events scheduled to take place on Midwayâ??s campus before the close of 2010, in which Full Sail educators will help to further the education of the Midway staff, and assist the teachers within their individual classrooms.
â??This partnership will help our school better utilize Web 2.0 technologies â?? from wikis to blogs to podcasts â?? so that our students can transfer their learning beyond the walls of the classroom to a global audience,â? said Kristina Marshall, principal of Midway.
â??Full Sail is very excited about the partnership with Midway Elementary and the professional development we will provide by infusing 21st century learning skills and technology integration,â? said Dr. Holly Ludgate, Full Universityâ??s Education Media Design & Technology Master of Science Online Degree Program Director. â??We believe this will be the start of a transformational shift in professional development for Midway teachers and their students.â?
