J. Logan Seitz Named American Kidney Fundâ??s Vice President of Development and Field Operations

Rockville, MD (PRWEB) October 20, 2010

J. Logan â??Skipâ? Seitz has been named Vice President of Development and Field Operations for the American Kidney Fund, the nationâ??s foremost charitable source of treatment-related financial assistance to dialysis patients and a leader in the fight against kidney disease.

Seitz comes to the American Kidney Fund from Chord Partners Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based firm he founded in 2005 to provide services to the corporate and non-profit sectors with a focus on impacting organizational growth, fundraising, and revenue and resource streams. From 2000 to 2005, he served as Senior Vice President, Integrated Growth and Development, for the American Red Cross, Inc. In that position, Seitz was the senior executive responsible for all national fundraising assets, and he actualized annual fundraising in excess of billion.

â??Skipâ??s breadth and depth of experience guiding the fundraising efforts of non-profit organizations will enable the American Kidney Fund to continue on the pathway toward increasing and diversifying the programs and services we are able to provideâ??not only to people living with kidney failure, but also to those who are at risk,â? said LaVarne A. Burton, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Seitz will guide the American Kidney Fundâ??s comprehensive fundraising strategy, which supports the organizationâ??s mission of fighting kidney disease through direct financial support to patients in need; health education; and prevention efforts. Last year, thanks to the generosity of contributors, the American Kidney Fund provided nearly 5 million in treatment-related grants to more than 87,000 dialysis patients nationwide, while spending 97 cents of every dollar on programs and services, not overhead.

â??The American Kidney Fund is a tremendous organization that provides vital help to people who are overwhelmed by the financial impact of having kidney failure. At the same time, the American Kidney Fund is making great strides in kidney disease prevention outreach,â? said Seitz. â??I am delighted to join this most worthy of causes.â?
