Peter Pan Musical Performance at The Taft School
Watertown, CT (Vocus) October 19, 2010
The fantastical play â??Peter Panâ? debuts at the Taft School on October 21, 22 and 23. Written by JM Barrie and directed by Taft theatre/film teacher Rick Doyle, the performance brings to life the classic tale that follows the Darling children on their adventures in Neverland with Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and Captain Hook.
â??We pulled out all the stops to make Peter Pan a magical experience for all,â? says Doyle. â??People have very clear memories of this musical from their own childhood. This show tickles those memories, with the flying, tricks, classic costumes and striking set.â?
Sara Guernsey, a senior from New York City plays the title role. At Taft, Guernsey sings in the a cappella group, of which she is now the head, and in the choral group Collegium Musicum. She has appeared in other musicals including â??Workingâ?, â??Ragtimeâ? and â??Wizard of Ozâ?.
â??I couldn't be happier to be playing Peter Pan,â? said Guernsey. â??I am positive it will be a show that Taft won't soon forget."

The cast also includes Bailey Outerbridge, a junior from Pennington, NJ (Wendy), freshman Aidan Gorman from Litchfield, CT (Michael) and Thomas Rowe, a junior from New York City (John).
